Everything you need to know about OPDX — your questions answered
OPDX is a digital OPD queue management system built specifically for hospitals and clinics in India. It consists of a web-based platform for hospital staff and a mobile app for patients, enabling real-time queue tracking, smart notifications, and analytics — reducing patient wait times by up to 80%.
OPDX is purpose-built for Indian hospitals — unlike generic queue tools, it covers the full OPD workflow: receptionist check-in, doctor portal, patient mobile app with SMS/WhatsApp/voice alerts, multi-department support, and analytics. It works for single-doctor clinics all the way to large multi-specialty hospitals, with INR pricing and India-specific compliance built in.
OPDX reduces wait times through smart queue management, real-time updates, and efficient patient flow optimization. Patients track their position remotely via the mobile app — reducing crowding in waiting areas. Hospitals can manage multiple departments simultaneously, call patients with one click, and use analytics to optimize staffing during peak hours. Our hospitals report up to 80% reduction in wait times.
OPDX currently serves 7+ hospitals and clinics across India, ranging from single-doctor practices to multi-specialty facilities. We are growing steadily and adding new hospitals every month. We'd be happy to connect you with a reference hospital in your area — just reach out via our contact page.
OPDX is designed to scale for all healthcare facility sizes. Whether you're a single-doctor clinic or a large multi-specialty hospital, the system adapts to your needs. We offer different pricing tiers so small clinics aren't paying for features they don't need, while larger hospitals get the full enterprise feature set.
Setup typically takes 3–5 business days: Day 1–2 covers account creation, system configuration, and staff training. Day 3 handles department setup and doctor/receptionist profiles. Day 4–5 is testing, soft launch, and final adjustments. We provide dedicated onboarding support and training materials for every role.
OPDX is fully cloud-based and requires minimal hardware: computers or tablets with a modern web browser for staff, a stable internet connection (minimum 2 Mbps), and optionally a display screen in the waiting area to show queue status. We support Windows, Mac, and tablet devices. No dedicated server or on-premise hardware is needed.
Yes. OPDX offers API integration with most popular HMS platforms to sync patient data, appointment schedules, and billing information. Our technical team works with your IT department to ensure a smooth integration. OPDX also works perfectly as a standalone system if you don't have an existing HMS.
We provide comprehensive training including live online sessions for all roles (admin, receptionist, doctors), video tutorials, written documentation, and dedicated support during your first month. New staff members can be onboarded at any time. Most staff become proficient within 2–3 days.
OPDX provides detailed analytics: daily/weekly/monthly patient flow reports, average wait time analysis, doctor efficiency metrics, peak hour identification, department-wise performance, and resource utilization reports. All reports can be exported to PDF or Excel.
Patients download the OPDX app (iOS/Android) and log in using their mobile number registered at the hospital. Once logged in they can: view their current queue position, see estimated wait time, receive SMS/WhatsApp/push notifications when their turn approaches, and access appointment history across any OPDX-enabled hospital they've visited.
No separate registration needed. Patients are automatically enrolled when they register at a partner hospital. They download the app, log in with their registered mobile number, verify via OTP, and can immediately start tracking their queue.
Patients without smartphones are fully supported: physical token numbers are still displayed on waiting room screens, SMS alerts are sent to basic phones, and receptionists can provide queue status updates. OPDX complements traditional systems rather than replacing them.
Our predictions are typically 85–90% accurate. The system analyses the doctor's average consultation time, current queue length, and historical patterns — updating in real time as conditions change. Patients receive notifications if there are significant delays.
OPDX offers flexible INR pricing with plans for clinics of all sizes — from single-doctor practices to large multi-specialty hospitals. Pricing is transparent with no setup fees and no hidden charges. Visit our Pricing page for current plan details, or contact us for a custom enterprise quote.
No hidden charges. Our pricing includes zero setup fees, free onboarding and training, free product updates, and free customer support. You only pay the monthly or annual subscription fee. Enterprise customisations may have one-time development costs, which are always discussed and agreed upfront.
Yes — annual plans save you up to 17% compared to paying monthly. We also offer special pricing for hospital chains (3+ facilities) and government hospitals. Contact our sales team for a custom quote for larger organisations.
Yes — every new hospital gets a free 24-hour demo with limited capacity so you can experience the full system before committing to a plan. No credit card required. Reach out via the contact page to book your demo.
You can cancel anytime with 30 days' notice. We don't lock you into long-term contracts. On cancellation, you retain access until the end of your billing period, receive a full data export in standard formats, and are charged no cancellation fees. You can restart your subscription at any time.
OPDX has offline capabilities — the system continues with local caching when internet disconnects, and data syncs automatically when the connection resumes. Critical functions like calling the next patient still work during brief outages. We recommend a backup mobile hotspot for mission-critical environments.
Fully responsive across all devices: desktop computers, tablets (iPad, Android), smartphones (iOS and Android), and all modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Doctors can manage their queue from a phone when away from their desk.
OPDX works well with a minimum of 2 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload. For 10–15 concurrent users, 5–10 Mbps is recommended. The system is optimised for Indian internet conditions and handles moderate connectivity gracefully.
Yes. OPDX supports multi-location hospitals and chains — manage all branches from a central dashboard, share patient data across locations with permission controls, view consolidated reports, and maintain location-specific settings.
OPDX uses 256-bit SSL encryption for all data in transit, encrypted database storage, role-based access controls, and automated backups every 6 hours across multiple locations. We follow HIPAA compliance standards and conduct regular security reviews. Patient data is never sold or shared with third parties.
Access is strictly role-based: receptionists see basic info and queue status, doctors see their own patients' records, department heads see department-level data, and hospital admins see anonymised hospital-wide reports. Patients only see their own information. No OPDX staff can access patient medical records without explicit written permission.
Yes. OPDX is designed to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), HIPAA standards, and ISO 27001 security principles. We maintain detailed audit logs, allow data export or deletion on request, and provide data processing agreements for enterprise clients.
You own your data entirely. On cancellation, we provide a full export in standard formats (CSV, JSON). Data is securely deleted from our servers within 90 days, with written confirmation provided. You can also request earlier deletion. We never sell or share your data.
